SEMO Running was established in 2011 to provide a history of running and road racing in the Southeast Missouri area. The site is intended to be for and by any and all area runners. 2012 Missouri State Cross-Country Championships

Jefferson City, MO -- November 3, 2012

High school runners had much success today at the Missouri XC Championships in Jeffferson City.  Local placers per Class:

CLASS 1 BOYS:  Ethan Seyer (Oak Ridge) -- 10th, Branden Bien (Advance) -- 14th, Nick Klein (Valley Catholic) -- 17th, and Matt Bauman (Valley Catholic) -- 21st.

Oak Ridge's Ethan Seyer (Bib #1525)

CLASS 1 GIRLS:  Lexi Wunderlich (Oak Ridge) -- 14th, Neve Cavanaugh (Valley Catholic) -- 18th, and Jamie Hodge (Delta) -- 21st.

Valley Catholic Boys team finished 4th overall, just edging out Oak Ridge for the final podium spot.  Both teams had a great year and should be proud of all their accomplishments.  Valley Catholic girls finished 5th overall in the team race.

CLASS 3 GIRLS: Breanna Conklin (Norte Dame) -- 13th.

CLASS 4 BOYS:  Billy Leighton (Cape Central) -- 11th.

CLASS 4 GIRLS:  Chelsea Drum (Jackson) -- 18th.

Billy Leighton ends up being 2X All-State XC winner in Class 4.  Great job to all who competed today. The experience will help you in the future and you all represented SE Missouri well.
